Young Design (YD) is a nationwide competition for young designers (students and graduates in design) organized each year by the Institute of Industrial Design (IID). The main prize is Prof. Wanda Telakowska scholarship. The aim of the competition is to support and promote young Polish designers.
The scholarship is granted for most promising designs to young designers with the highest market potential. The jury is represented by the business people (Polish and foreign producers and distributors).
The scholarship is to support the most promising designers at the beginning of their professional career. To get the main price one needs not only to prepare a well designed product but also he/she has to demonstrate communication and cooperation skills of highest rank which are necessary in the cooperation with future clients. Young Design looks for the interesting personalities.
