By means of different software tools you can release your inventiveness, make use of your own curiosity and talents to create the software which will change the world. You have at your disposal Net Framework, Windows, Windows Mobile and many others. Participation in the contest makes it possible to convert the competitive project into a marketable product and opens the door to one's own business or big corporations. By winning the national finals you have the chance to be awarded fantastic prizes.
Microsoft Imagine Cup is the only opportunity of its kind for the young fans of technology to display their talents on the international arena and enter the competition against equally gifted friends from all over the world. During the selection and the subsequent stages of the competition, and for the best ones also in the international finals, contestants solve intricate IT and computing tasks, write algorithms, create applications and digital short movies. Thus they make use of technology and the opportunities which it gives as well as of their own creativity to find the answers to the actual problems against which the 21th century world must strive. For Imagine Cup is something much more than only the technological contest for students. It is some sort of appeal that Microsoft makes to young and gifted programmers and devotees of modern technology; to the ones who believe that technologies can make our world better and our lives easier.
This year's edition of Imagine Cup in the software design category is co-organized for the third time by Microsoft and The Institute of Industrial Design. The main objective for the The Institute of Industrial Design and Microsoft is the integration of the students from different IT faculties with the students from visual communication, designing and graphic designing faculties by enabling them to cooperate within the frames of competitive teams. Such collaboration is to contribute to the creation of innovative and professional products with regard to their technological, usable and visual aspects which will be ready to be launched on a market.
The contest will be held under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy.
Imagine Cup is more than just a competition!
