
Within the promotion of Polish economy on the Expo 2010 World Fair in Shanghai prepared by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, The Institute of Industrial Design will present an exhibition entitled “Added Value. Design from Poland” and prepare three one-day seminars on Design management. The seminars will take place on May 24, 25 and 26. Their aim is to show modern Polish economy and Polish cities, which development is based on Design and creative business, the promotion of increasing the competitiveness of Polish firms by means of Design on the basis of good experience in Polish firms, presentation of the achievements and creative techniques of recognized Polish industrial Designers and enable cooperation establishment between Polish and Chinese business thanks to use the potential of industrial Design. The topic of the first seminar is “The value added of Design”, the second is entitled “Staff education for creative industries” and the third - “Creative Polish city”.
More about seminarsThe “Added Value” exhibition, showing the best products of Polish Designers in seven categories (Nativeness, the Potential of the Industry, Aesthetics, Engineering, Universal Design, Ergonomics, Digital Technologies) will promote the potential of Polish Design thought in the areas of both products and services and the possibility of creating them. The exhibition will be organized as part of The Institute of Industrial Design key project “Design your profit. The improvement of firm competitiveness by applying Design”. It will take place in the Polish pavilion on May 1 – 31. It will be accompanied by a publication introducing the visitors with the achievements and originality of Polish Design.
